FAQ — Work with Anne

Live drawing & events

What does Anne offer at an event?

Anne draws the people present and the moments unfolding in front of her, right there on site. She can create individual, couple, or group portraits, as well as capture spontaneous moments and interactions between guests. The goal isn't just to leave with a drawing: the drawing also creates a real experience and a moment of connection with the people she meets.

What types of events can Anne work at?

Anne can work at both private and professional events: weddings, birthdays, private parties, brand events, product launches, corporate events, festivals, trade shows, conferences, performances or cultural events. She can also design more specific formats with a brand, an artist or an agency. If a project doesn't exactly match these examples, it's still worth getting in touch to discuss it.

How does a live drawing service work?

Anne arrives at the venue with her materials and sets up somewhere she can move around easily and see the guests. She can then go meet the people she draws, or be set up at a designated spot where guests come to her. She draws right there on site and favors a spontaneous approach: people don't necessarily need to sit for a long pose. The exact format is worked out beforehand based on the type of event, the number of guests, and the time available.

Do guests need to pose?

No. Anne can draw portraits from a short pose, but she also likes to observe people in their environment and capture spontaneous attitudes or moments. For some events, she may create surprise portraits, choosing herself the people or moments she finds interesting to draw.

How many people can Anne draw during an event?

It depends on the format, the number of hours she's present, and the type of drawings wanted. An individual portrait usually takes around fifteen minutes when done at an event, though the pace can vary depending on the level of detail and the chosen format. Rather than promising a fixed number of portraits, Anne prefers to set a realistic goal based on the event. If a large number of people need to be drawn, it's best to mention this in the request so she can suggest the most suitable format.

Are the drawings finished and handed over on the same day?

When the format of the service allows it, drawings are made and handed directly to guests during the event. For certain projects requiring more time or a particular level of finish, drawings may be completed or sent afterward. The details are specified in the quote.

Can Anne draw things other than portraits?

Yes. She can draw scenes, couples, groups, interactions between several people, or particular moments of the event. The drawing can also be adapted to a specific concept designed together with the client.

Can a service be customized for a brand or an event?

Yes. The service can be designed around the identity of a brand, an event, or a campaign: the drawing format, paper, presentation, incorporating a product or a visual world, staging the service, etc. Anne can also work with an agency or a brand to develop a more original concept around drawing.

Can Anne work at a wedding?

Yes. Live drawing can take place during the cocktail hour, the reception drinks, or part of the celebration. Anne can draw the couple, guests, groups, or particular spontaneous moments of the day. Since every wedding is different, the format is worked out with the couple or the organizer based on the day's schedule and the number of guests.

Does Anne travel?

Yes. Anne is based in Paris and can travel within France and abroad for projects. Any travel, transport, and accommodation costs are added on top when the project requires it. These are clearly stated in the quote.

How far in advance should I book?

The earlier the better, especially for weddings, major events, and projects requiring travel. That said, it's still possible to contact Anne for an event coming up soon — she'll simply let you know if she's available. The date is only confirmed once the quote is accepted, under the terms stated in it.

Projects & collaborations

Does Anne only take on live drawing services?

No. She's also open to projects that use drawing in other ways: content creation, collaborations with artists or creators, custom comics, illustration, artistic performances, editorial projects, brand concepts, or hybrid formats between drawing and video. If a project doesn't fit a specific category, it's still worth pitching the idea to her.

Can Anne create content for a brand?

Yes. Anne can design content around her world: drawing, encounters, portraits, conversation, humor, or discovering a person, a place, or a product. She can also take part in shaping the format when a project calls for creative input. Publishing, production, and usage terms for the content are defined case by case.

Can Anne draw a public figure or an artist?

Yes. Anne especially enjoys projects that combine drawing, encounters, and performance. For example, she can create an artist's portrait, draw someone during an interview or meeting, take part around a show, or design content around a public figure.

Can Anne perform on stage?

Yes. She can take part in a show or cultural event and draw a performer, a speaker, or a scene live. The format depends on the project: drawing during a performance, a live drawing show, creating a live portrait, video content around the appearance, etc.

Video & social media

Can Anne's services lead to content on her social media?

Not necessarily. When it's relevant and with the agreement of those involved, Anne may film certain moments of her services and turn them into content for her social media. This can be planned from the start with the client if they'd also like content around the event. Creating and publishing that content may then be handled as a separate service.

Can I ask Anne to create a video in addition to the drawing?

Yes. Anne can design formats that combine drawing and video: meeting someone, an interview while drawing, behind-the-scenes footage from an event, reactions to the portrait, etc. The content can be intended for her social media, the client's, or both, depending on the project. Usage rights and distribution terms are defined in advance.

Prices & quotes

Where can I find Anne's prices?

Prices for custom portrait orders are listed on the dedicated “Portrait Commission” page, so clients can get a first idea of the budget before contacting Anne. For events, collaborations, artistic services, and professional projects, Anne mainly works on a quote basis, since the price depends on the shape of the project.

Why are event services quote-based?

A service can vary enormously depending on: how long Anne is present, the type of event, the number of guests, the number and type of drawings wanted, the location, travel, the level of customization, any content creation involved, and the client's specific needs. Anne therefore prefers to put together a tailored quote rather than list a single price that wouldn't fit every project.

How do I request a quote?

The contact form above lets you share the key details of your project. The more specific the request, the more effectively Anne can respond.

How quickly does Anne respond?

Anne does her best to respond to professional inquiries and orders as quickly as possible. Response time can vary depending on her workload and travel schedule. If a project has an important or upcoming date, it's best to mention it clearly in the message.

What happens after I submit a request?

Once Anne receives the request, she checks the project's feasibility and her availability. If the project is a good fit, she'll discuss the client's needs if needed and then send a quote. The service is confirmed once the quote is accepted, under the terms it states. For more complex projects, a detailed brief can also be worked out beforehand.

An idea that doesn't fit any category?

Tell her about it. Anne is especially interested in projects that use drawing in an original way: an event, a show, a brand, video, comics, an encounter, a performance, or an artistic project. There's no need to have already figured out the perfect format. An idea or a simple urge is enough to get in touch and think together about how to turn it into a project.
